Little update

Not a lot to report really. Had another blood test and have hospital Monday, miss Bondi being on TV (and realised they didn’t do any hangouts this year), I met Emmett again on Thursday (Such an amazing night!) and I think I’ve dropped a jean size because my skinny jeans are now seriously loose and I’m having to wear braces (or suspenders?) to keep them from falling down. Other than that nothing much has been going on. I met Emmett at a PA this time in a club. (I travelled 7 hours there and 6 and a half back… and nearly got stranded in London) Was lovely seeing him fresh off his holiday and in a nice relaxed atmosphere where he wasn’t knackered from filming for hours. He’s actually so unbelievably lovely. Could go on about that night for hours :D

Concert!

So 2 days ago (24/2/13) I went to see Justin Bieber with my best friend Holly, her little sister Sophie and my little sister Bethany. Now me, Holly and Sophie all went to his last show in Liverpool but it was our Bethany’s first concert (last time he was my first concert too). We got to Liverpool around 1 and had lunch and headed to the stadium to see if we could catch any of Justin’s crew (or Justin himself of course) We waited quite a while (at the back slowly getting closer to the front) and we saw his tour buses go in (and out and in) but we didn’t actually see the crew.

Then we went around the front and had to wait in the cold and hail until 6.30. By this time it was 4.30 at the latest. We got to the front of one queue and sat down, hugging together to keep warm. We decided we needed a way to get warm and stay positive and to help the time pass. So I got my mobile out and played as many of his songs as I could play in the time waiting. We sat there, swaying and singing out loud. We didn’t care how we looked and soon enough the queues grew and people starting joining in and those that were standing were also dancing too so it was great to see.

When we finally got in and sorted out the merchandise we were all buying and toilet trips etc we got to our seats (pretty close to the front on one tier) and Bethany looked so amazed and the show hadn’t even started. Dead on 7.30 Cody Simpson came out and done his set (he shocked us because we didn’t like him and were set to walk out but he was really good) then Carly Rae Jepsen came out and did her set and then we waited 10 minutes for Justin to come out.

His entrance was phenomenal as was the whole show. It totally blew my mind (and my ear drums lol) We had technical difficulties that meant we couldn’t take any decent photos or videos (the lighting made everyone look like unrecognisable white blobs) but I do have photos from other people that were there and I might find a video or two from the concert to post onto Google+. It was a long and tiring day but it was just the best! I thought his my world tour was incredible but this totally blew it out of the water.

update on all sorts

So I met Emmett again (and half the hollyoaks cast whilst waiting for him to come out) it was a long wait and his last day so we stuck it out and I got to give him a proper hug and he hugged me back as if we’d known each other the whole time he was working here and I kissed him and he kissed me back (on my jaw though I think he was aiming for my cheek) He came out and we noticed he had his Brendan Brady trademark moustache shaved off as soon as he filmed his last scene. The whole day was lovely and the cast were so sweet stopping for photos and hugs and a chat.

We have a new kitten today called Guinness but we might rename him. He was all big and brave against the dog and other cats yet he hid behind mum and shivered when I introduced a paintbrush for him to play with. He’s currently walking up and down my blanket. He’s only 7-8 weeks old but is already 100% litter trained by the looks of it because he hasn’t had a single accident.

My best mate went to Cuba for two weeks and now she’s back we’ve had a massive catch up and she saw the photos of me with the hollyoaks cast and her and her mum said I look like I’ve lost weight so maybe, just maybe my new years resolution is working?

Been ill not last week but the 2 weeks before that. It was a chesty cough/infection but it was also flu like symptoms so one minute I was burning and achy then I spent like 4 days with 2 duvets on me and still too cold. Hate being ill but I’m all better now.

Seems like I’m having a busy year already. Got a concert at the end of the month, a party with some of the hollyoaks cast end of march and some of the girls wanna go Manchester around April - May time. This year’s gonna be a good ‘un and so far is proving it.

Meeting Emmett

Yesterday was amazing! Just for those who don’t know I went to see one of my favourite actors before he leaves. My mum wasn’t well but I went with some mates and we could not stop laughing the whole time! Mum bought Emmett (actor) a little birthday chocolate bottle from Thornton’s and we got happy birthday Emmett iced onto it and having lunch I dropped some of my money. So I picked up the chair and dropped it straight onto his present! Managed to buy him another (Everyone got him something) So fast forward to when we actually got there and one of the girls lives 10 minutes away and goes all the time so she knows what his car looks like and everything and she said “Emmett’s here” and she’d been mucking around so for a second no one realised she was actually telling the truth.
He came out and was like “does anyone want me?” What he didn’t realise was that everyone out there was actually mainly there to see him (about 20 of us) and he spent time with us all. I got a photo with him and I gave him a kiss! He also signed my mums canvas picture of him (sister got it made for her) and I mentioned she wasn’t well and he put To Carol Get well soon and signed it. When I went over to give him a hug and get a photo my foot sort of rolled to the side and I nearly fell over him xD luckily his arm was already around me so I just wobbled. He just smiled and was like “are you alright?” Turns out his last week is next week AND my mum wants me to take her so I’m going to get to see him again before he leaves.
Also saw two of the girls that work there and got photos with them as well. They were all so lovely!

oh and he tweeted this after he went: To the simply wonderful women who have waited all day at #Oaks to shower me wit such thoughtful b-day gifts,I am truly honoured

We only waited like 2 hours tops. I asked to draw on him (was gonna write DILF on him in black sharpie for a laugh) and he was gonna let me but he had a business meeting and he said I could draw it on paper for him. I just laughed and went if you're going to a meeting I probably shouldn't write on ya its fine :D We just laughed :)

Ugh it’s so unbelievably cold right now! We’re meant to get a blizzard of snow during the night and Liverpool have had snow since 4pm (I live on the other side of the Mersey and we got nothing yet). The cold’s making me ache and to be honest I’m just tired, achy, my sinuses are still not sorted and I’m incredibly cold that 2 pairs of pyjamas and a blanket are keeping me warm!

The worst thing is I have coldest room in the house and we’ve run out of gas. We went to the shops and their machines aren’t working! Someone (brother) took the back of the plug of my electric heater and as much as I love snow it’s kinda ruining my weekend. I was so looking forward to seeing monsters inc. 3D with my best friend but it’s too cold and she’ll get ill before her holiday AND if we get as much snow as they’re saying then we’ll have no trains.

Apparently we’ve all been well prepared for this and yet there’s no gritters out yet that I am aware of. There certainly wasn’t any earlier!

Anyway the resolution isn’t going too bad. I’m eating less, exercising more but I haven’t joined the gym/pool thing yet because I haven’t had the money L Hopefully I’ll start visibly losing weight soon because honestly nothing feels better than people asking you if you’ve lost weight.

update

So I’m not sure but I don’t think the operation was a total success but I think I’m still technically recovering from it as it’s still draining (gross I know) Still get a swimmy head, Gloopy ears and such but my hearings improved a bit and I don’t feel like I’m going to collapse if I do more than walk.

Hope everyone had a fab festive holidays whether you celebrate Christmas or Hanukah or any other festive holidays. I managed to go out and see my friends the Wednesday and Thursday before. The Wednesday we went to red hot and had a lovely all you can eat buffet and Thursday some of us went to town in our onesies after playing games at the birthday girl’s house. (Went a little dizzy when we out but after a sit down and drink I felt alright)

Tomorrow is New years eve and I’m going to babysitting. I’m made up because I’ve been babysitting this family of kids for 7 years and I haven’t seen them too much this year and I miss them. I hope everyone has a fab new years eve and new years day and just remember don’t get too drunk! x

Operation

So I had my operation yesterday. It was a very L O N G day. I’d planned to be up at 5.45am but ended up waking up at 5.20. I got to the hospital by 6.45 and checked in. The receptionist gave me a funny look and was like you’ve come in your pyjamas? I was like well yeah the letter said nightgown and slippers etc. She was like well you should be wearing normal clothes. So I sat there in my pyjamas as the room filled with people in regular clothing. We weren’t allowed anyone with us so I was totally alone and my appointment was at 7am. I wasn’t called down to theatre until 11.30. By then I had already been up for 6 hours. I laid on the bed and they hooked me up to a heart monitor. One nurse was chatting to me and being lovely and I could just hear this rapid beeping. Two drs came to see me and one commented on my heart rate (that was the rapid beeping and believe me it was very rapid lol) one doctor said “well wouldn’t your heart be racing if you were about to have an operation?” the other doctor went “not like that no. Here’s something to calm you down” He put a cannular in my hand and I watched him inject this small amount of clear liquid (plus I was given oxygen). Then he put in ‘the milk’ which makes you sleep.

As he did this I was thinking I wonder when the drowsiness will kick in. Next thing I know I’m hearing voices. One mentioned I knocked my cannular out of my hand as I was coming around. I remember trying to open my eyes but I couldn’t. They wheeled me to my room and I started feeling very sick and I remember asking them to take the mask off because I felt like I was going to puke. They went ok we’ve given you something to take it away. I kept trying to move my arms and legs to jolt myself awake and I asked for water because my lips were so chapped and my tongue was stuck to the roof of my mouth because it was so dry. Then when I came around properly I realised I couldn’t see properly (one risk was eye damage) and I rubbed my eye… They’d put Vaseline on my eyes and not told me.

Once I rubbed it off and came around my mum was there and she was only allowed to see me for 3 minutes. I’d been in theatre for 2 hours (the nurse said 40 mins if I didn’t need too much work maybe less so I obviously needed a lot of work) mum went and I looked down to find a cannular hanging out of my arm where they’d left it and a patch on either hand (which is now two very colourful bruises) I also had a bandage under my nose (and over my lip) I was given some soup and I got it all over my bandage and I said to the nurse I can feel my nose bleeding a lot. Her reply was “it’s just soup” I was like no I mean under the bandage! She went “that’s just hot air” She soon realised how much I was bleeding when she had to change it 3 times because I kept bleeding through.

By the time I got home I had been in hospital for 12 hours and then I had to change my bandage 3 times and to be honest I did it better than the nurse because it took much longer to bleed through and it didn’t get in my way. I wasn’t given anything for pain or any drops for my nose. Instead I was given a recipe and a syringe to make the stuff myself to douche out my nose. I asked the nurse what would I do if I sneezed her reply was don’t sneeze… I’ve sneezed like 30 times and fuck all happened. The nurse also gave me bandages to take home but no tape (thankfully I had some micropore surgical tape from when my dad cut his leg when he fell off the ladder, unluckily for me it was in the car and dad was at work until 11pm so I just dealt with sticky tape) I also wasn’t told to sleep with my head propped up to avoid blood going into my throat but luckily mum told me and I said I’d sleep on the couch so as not to slide flat on my back. I didn't sleep until about 1.30 because there was good TV on haha

Right now I have a bit of a stuffed nose and sore throat and I can’t bend over in case it sets the bleeding off. Cant go out for two weeks but luckily its 2 weeks and a day until I see my friends (I think) so I should be fine to go out. I’ve really missed my friends and haven’t seen most of them since Easter or last Christmas where I’ve just not been well enough to go out.

I was told the operation wasn’t guaranteed to work but so far it seems much better I just have to wait and see.
